All Yoga Empowered classes are held at Red Square Yoga Studio in Queen Anne. Map Registration requested as space is limited to 8 to 10 students. Suggested Donation $12 per class or 6 classes for $60 with reserved spot. Payment in advance required to hold your spot. Continuing students have priority for registration. All classes are offered as 6 week series with one week off in between. Please contact Suzanne to register or for any questions or concerns.
Practice gentle asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. Each class is designed to replenish and refresh the body, mind and spirit. Learn yoga tools you can use outside the studio to help manage chronic conditions to live life more fully and mindfully!
This YE4CC class incorporates gentle yet deep movement utilizing a chair, the wall and/or the mat that can be practiced in daily life without fancy props. Breath exercises and meditations are taught with the focus of bringing balance, ease and confidence and are intended to be practiced outside the studio empowering your whole well-being. Appropriate for students able to get to and from the floor without assistance.
Learn to meet yourself where you are and how to adjust Your Practice (to work more strong or more gentle) to bring yourself to a place of greater balance and ease.
Practice begins with (gentle to strong) postures while utilizing breath and meditation techniques to build strength, stamina and presence in body, mind and spirit. Final 30 minutes of class time will be spent in restorative sequences.
This YE4CC class is designed for those living with Chronic Conditions to help manage fluctuating energy levels/ states of well-being on the mat and in daily life. Appropriate for those with mild physical limitations.
YE4CC: Gentle – uses chair for seated postures and support. Less standing postures. More emphasis and time spent practicing breathing exercises, meditation and gentle yet deep postures. Students must be able to get to and from floor without assistance. Ideal for those living with chronic health challenges especially autoimmune conditions, cancer, chronic stress/anxiety and/or caregivers.
YE4CC: Strong – No chair postures. More standing postures with option to work more gentle or strong. More emphasis on physical postures and teaching how/when to adapt to meet individual fluctuating needs. Appropriate for students with mild physical limitations. Ideal for those living with chronic health challenges especially autoimmune conditions, cancer and/or caregivers.
Both classes have yoga philosophy weaved throughout to encourage mindfulness and loving kindness within our bodies, minds and spirits.
