Yoga Empowered is a way of life, a way of teaching, a way of living more fully + mindfully through yoga practice + community. Suzanne Stephens began offering Yoga Empowered classes over 7 years ago with the intention of meeting each student where they are to teach them how to bring themselves to a greater place of balance + ease. We're not all built the same, we all have unique conditioning + needs – Yoga Empowered embraces + celebrates these differences through yoga practice. Join an International community of Yoga Empowered Practitioners!
Suzanne specializes in teaching you how to empower yourself using yoga tools (including asana, pranayama, meditation, self-study and ritual) allowing you to live at your fullest potential, regardless of health status. Her classes utilize restorative breath and meditative movement as a means of empowering individuals to create a practice that best serves you – it's Practitioner. In each class, Suzanne beautifully weaves lessons of loving-kindness and mindfulness to address the fluctuating needs of daily life. She empowers by teaching you how to meet yourself where you are and how to adapt your own practice, to work more gentle or strong, to create greater balance and ease as you need it most.
Suzanne offers yoga classes – taught in her signature Yoga Empowered style– that meet a full spectrum of student needs, including gentle/therapeutic series, all levels, moderate level flow + classes for martial artists. Her classes are appropriate for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. Most classes are especially helpful for those living with chronic health conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme, Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, chronic stress and/or anxiety.
Suzanne's enthusiasm for sharing practice includes over 130 free articles on yoga practice, a Breathing + Meditation Practice CD, over 25 videos on YouTube and a podcast of free guided breathing + meditation practices so you can practice as your schedule permits, from where ever you find yourself.
